Myrtle Beach has always been known for its extraordinary sights and innovative attractions so it should come as no surprise that, once again, they have outdone themselves with the new SkyWheel.
The SkyWheel, located on Ocean Boulevard adjacent to the Oceanfront Boardwalk and Promenade, is the only observation wheel of its kind in the United States, towering approximately 200 feet above sea level and featuring 42 climate controlled gondolas.
This new attraction allows 6 passengers to each gondola and provides a stunning 25 mile viewing range of the Atlantic Ocean where you can even view part of the North Carolina coast line. Each gondola is surrounded by non-reflective glass to allow each passenger optimal picture and video opportunity as they spend 8-12 minutes rotating on this impressive observation wheel.
As if the SkyWheel in itself is not impressive enough, after sundown a spectacular light show featuring one million LED lights will take place several times throughout the night. And for those who are trying to experience the SkyWheel to the fullest; there is a VIP gondola which features glass floors and leather bucket seats to allow for a thrilling, luxurious ride. Once again it appears Myrtle Beach has outdone itself and the SkyWheel will prove to be an attraction people of all ages will want to experience for themselves.
